Description
The purpose of this Plan is to describe how the company encourages a strong safety culture among its Shore Staff and Crew members. This is achieved through the implementation of controls to reduce the operational risk. By doing this the company is expected to cultivate a strong safety culture being able to achieve its ultimate objectives for zero pollution, zero accidents and zero incidents. Finally, it is expected that the preventing of unsafe acts and conditions from occurring will be actively promoted onboard.
It contains the Safety Procedures (including Safety Culture, BBS and Stop Work authorization), Risk Management, Work Permit System, LSA / FFA / GMDSS / Bridge / Navigational Equipment Maintenance Requirements (supplemented by SOLAS Maintenance Logbook) and third-party inspections requirements / preparation (including PSC and Vetting).
We can provide you a Safety Inspection Card (printable at any size with company’s logo) that can be posted in ship’s office and act as a reminder for weekly, monthly and so on inspections.
A dedicated section with all the relevant regulatory references is provided. Each procedure is connected to a specific risk assessment.
